Bedford launches 'They think it's all over'
Bedford’s summer drink drive campaign uses the famous saying from the 1966 World Cup final commentary, when Kenneth Wolstenholme uttered the immortal words: ‘They think it’s all over – it is now!’
Bedford Borough Council launched the campaign in partnership with Central Bedfordshire Council and the Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue service, on 4 June at the Interchange Retail Park, Bedford.
Staff from JJB Sports donned England football kit to give the occasion a real World Cup theme.
The campaign includes posters distributed to licensed premises, leaflets handed out at events and an eight-week bus back campaign.
