High fashion combines with high visibility

Thursday 23rd September 2010

A new range of children’s wear combining safety with fashion has been developed to help keep children safe on the roads at night.

B-Scene has designed a range of clothes which incorporate a high tech reflective thread supplied by 3M in their weave. They are designed to provide an attractive alternative to hi-visibility tabards for fashion conscious youngsters.

Brian Thompson, B-Scene managing director, said:  “Following extensive market research we came to the conclusion that whilst hi-visibility tabards are very effective in making sure that children can be seen on the roads at night, all too often fashion conscious youngsters refuse to wear them.

“As an alternative our fashionable designs and unique retro reflective thread technology allows us to appeal to parents and young people’s interest in fashion, whilst ensuring they are visible to drivers, and remain safe whilst walking or cycling at night.”

B-Scene says it will be donating a proportion of any profits made to road safety organisations.

What an excellent product.
A fun and fashionable coat for them.
Peace of mind in the dark for us.
And a price that won't break the bank.
Terrific

Excellent. Kids will not wear hi-viz waistcoats, it's naff. But, they might like these coats. Motorcyclists will not wear hi-viz waistcoats, it's not 'cool'. But, make the piping on a Cordura jacket out of Scotchlite. Nice one. Look at the French Gendarmerie. Keen to keep their traditional uniform-look but not to copy the UK police. Their blue jackets are classical but the piping is in reflective material. A tasteful answer.

Good luck with the sales, B-Scene.
