Road Safety GB has launched the 2014 National Road Safety Conference which will be held on the south coast in Brighton.

The 2014 National Conference is being hosted by Road Safety GB South East Region and held at The Grand Hotel in Brighton on 25-26 November 2014.

Residential delegate rates for Road Safety GB members have been frozen at £295 plus VAT for a third consecutive year. The fee covers all conference sessions, overnight accommodation at The Grand, the conference dinner and all other refreshments.

In addition, there is once again an ‘early bird’ discount rate for Road Safety GB members of just £175 plus VAT. 75 places have been made available at this special price, which will be allocated on a strictly first come, first served basis. These places are expected to be snapped up very quickly.

Speaking about the conference content, Su Ormes, who is chairing the conference committee, said: “In general, we are keen to ensure that the conference content is based on innovative practical experience and provides ideas and inspiration that attendees can take away and deploy in their day-to-day work.

“We are also looking to develop a ‘fringe programme’ to run in tandem with the main conference.

“The proposed themes and content likely to feature in the main conference programme include: working in partnership; social media and the use of technology to deliver road safety messages; improving the safety of cyclists; and other ‘topical topics’.
