Park Smart and stay safe, pupils say
Pupils from Kirklandpark Primary School in South Lanarkshire are promoting the message that irresponsible parking outside schools is dangerous and selfish.
The school joined South Lanarkshire’s road safety team to promote the Park Smart campaign, which gets the message across to motorists that child safety must come first. Posters, leaflets and weatherproof banners outside schools are some of the materials used to promote the campaign.
Launched in 2003, South Lanarkshire Council has successfully implemented the Park Smart campaign in a number of schools across the area.
