Financial incentives key to improving young driver behaviour
The only way young drivers will get cheaper insurance is by having fewer crashes, and the best way to change their driving behaviour is with education and financial incentives.
That’s the view of Richard King, founder of ingenie, who has just addressed delegates at the Young Driver Focus event in Swindon today (14/5/14).
ingenie is a digital insurance brand specifically aimed at young drivers. Richard King told the conference that his company has “developed a unique and engaging approach to driving feedback, using a mobile app to motivate our customers to drive more safely”.
Mr King said that ingenie has “embraced social media to establish a greater level of connection and engagement with its customers”, and added that the approach ingenie has taken “has been proven to work” and is now being replicated in Canada and the USA.
