Motorists are being warned to expect the first wintry weather conditions of the season, with snow and gale-force winds making driving hazardous.

Child car seat recalled over safety fears
Argos has issued a product recall for three Fisher Price child car seats, due to safety concerns. The car seats have safety restraints that don't fully meet test requirements and could compromise a child's safety.

The DVSA has offered drivers advice as driving examiners and vehicle examiners strike for a second day in a row.

Noel Gibbons, road safety officer with Mayo County Council, has won the Road Safety Officer of the Year Award from the Irish road victims association.

FTA says new strategy for motoring agencies must improve service
The Freight Transport Association (FTA) says the Government’s consultation on a new strategy for its three motoring agencies is a positive step that recognises the challenges faced by commercial freight and fleet operators.

An Italian town will pay people hundreds of euros per year if they cycle to work instead of using their cars.

UN vehicle safety regulations 'could save' 34,000 lives in Brazil - TRL
A new TRL research report has revealed that 34,000 Brazilian lives could be saved by 2030, if UN vehicle safety regulations were adopted and car manufacturers sought to achieve higher ratings.
