Dates unveiled for Scotland's first 20mph conference
The first 20mph conference with a focus on Scotland, 'Ready for 20 Scotland', will take place on 8 June. The event, hosted by 20's Plenty for Us and City of Edinburgh Council, will include speakers from Police Scotland and Transport Scotland.

German city puts traffic lights on pavements for smartphone users
The German city of Augsburg has put traffic lights on pavements so smartphone users don't have to look up from their screens when crossing the road.

GEM expresses concern over Britain’s drug drivers
GEM Motoring Assist has expressed concerns about recent reports of ‘sky high’ recordings of drivers over the legal drug-drive limit, and inconsistencies in sentencing of offenders.

Official launch for new motorcycle scheme
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue will be officially unveiling its new FireBike initiative, in conjunction with the launch of its free BikerDown! course, at a launch event in Leicester on 10 May. LRSC offers child car seat training
The London Road Safety Council (LRSC) has partnered with Child Seat Safety to offer a training course on the fitment of child car safety seats. The day long course, accredited by the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, will take place in Hounslow on May 17.

‘Cop Light Bling’: Canadian video highlights road safety law
Police in Canada have posted a Drake-inspired music video to highlight its 'Move Over' law, which limits the speed at which drivers can pass emergency vehicles.
