Children enjoy Captain Safety road show

More than 1,600 children learnt the importance of the Green Cross Code via a mix of song, magic and ventriloquism at the Captain Safety road show at the Bedford civic theatre.

Every Year 4 child attending a Bedford Borough school was invited to attend the show, which delivered a serious message in a fun way – in the hope that it will be remembered more readily than traditional methods of education.

Andrew McGrorey, RSO, said the show received a big thumbs up from the children, teachers and others involved – including the mayor and executive director for children’s services.

The Captain Safety road show is available for other local authorities or schools to use. More details, along with pictures and videos of the show, can be found at: www.captainsafety.co.uk. Alternatively, contact Andrew McGrorey on 01234 228142 for more information.
