Road safety officers are reminded that the deadline for the FirstCar/Road Safety GB early booking discount is 1 March.
The early booking arrangement between FirstCar and Road Safety GB is delivering cheaper publications for road safety teams and revenue for Road Safety GB.
Under the arrangement, Road Safety GB is coordinating ‘early-booking’ orders for FirstCar’s Young Driver’s Guide and the new FirstBike magazine. Road safety teams receive a discount of 10p per copy ordered and, in addition, FirstCar is making a donation of 10p per copy to Road Safety GB.

Road safety officers wishing to place an order, or wanting more information, should contact Sue Snoddy who is managing the early booking system on behalf of Road Safety GB.
Copies will still be able to be ordered after 1 March directly from FirstCar but will not be eligible for the early booking discount.

FirstCar’s new magazine for parents of new drivers, “Learning to drive – The Parent’s Guide”, is being given away free to road safety teams with all orders of the new 2014 Young Driver’s Guide on a 1:4 ratio. This means that the average FirstCar order of 1,000 copies would automatically receive 250 free copies of the parent’s guide.
The new A6 magazine provides parents with information and advice on everything from learning to drive, to buying and insuring a first car. FirstCar is printing 50,000 copies of the new parent’s guide which will be available on a first come first served basis.
