Delegates discuss cameras and SCPs

10.04 | 17 July 2009 |

Warwickshire County Council last week hosted a seminar on behalf of the School Crossing Patrol Advisory Group, looking at camera technology and the school crossing patrol service.

Delegates heard about legal and technical aspects of using cameras, and presentations from Warwickshire and Dudley councils on their experiences of using different camera systems.

Delegates also contributed towards Road Safety GB’s draft guidelines on camera technology and the SCP service.  Their proposals will now go to the Road Safety GB school crossing patrol sub group for consideration.
