Young drivers from Doncaster are being invited to improve their driving skills and knowledge by attending a free of charge ‘Drive for Life’ event on 9 November.
The two hour interactive event is designed to provide information to enable drivers to make sensible and safe decisions. It includes a number of hands on scenarios covering speeding, having the correct documentation, drink and drug driving, wearing seatbelts and distractions.
Roy Nelson, chair of the Driving Instructors Association in Doncaster, said: “Drive for Life is a great event and really helps young drivers to realise the risks on the road. Young drivers are over represented in collisions on our roads and this initiative aims to raise their road safety awareness and help them to avoid becoming a statistic."
All young people attending the project will receive a certificate of attendance and a free information and safety pack.
