HA consults on new variable speed limits

10.59 | 8 May 2009 |

Highways Agency plans to improve road safety and help reduce congestion through variable speed limits to sections of the M25 and M20 were published last week.

The proposed schemes – on the M25 between junctions 2 and 3 and the M20 between junctions 4 and 7 – would be similar to the controlled motorway scheme on the M25 between junctions 10 – 16.  The consultation process started on 5 May for about 12 weeks, and members of the public and stakeholder groups are being invited to put their views.
