Having sponsored Young Driver Focus for the first time in 2015, agreement has been reached with ingenie to continue its support for the event for a further three years.

Young Driver Focus 2016 will once again be held at the prestigious RAC Club in London’s Pall Mall on Wednesday 20 April 2016. The event will be officially launched next week and once again there will be an attractive early bird rate for Road Safety GB and Academy members.

Now in its third year, Young Driver Focus is jointly organised by Road Safety GB and FirstCar, and hosted by the RAC Foundation. The one-day conference examines current and future thinking with regard to the vital issue of reducing crashes and casualties caused by young, newly qualified drivers, and what is being done to improve the situation. It is intended for both private and public sector road safety professionals.

Since formation, ingenie has disrupted the market and established itself as one of the leading insurance brands for young drivers.

ingenie is all about helping young people become better, safer drivers. By fitting a black box in the car, ingenie builds a picture of its customers’ unique driving styles so they can be treated as individuals and earn discounts for good driving.

ingenie provides regular driving feedback – including speed, acceleration, braking and cornering – both online and through the ingenie app. Customers can keep an eye on how they are driving and how much they are on track to save. Put simply, the concept is ‘drive well, pay less’.

James Evans, founder of FirstCar, said: “We are thrilled to have ingenie on board as our long-term partner for Young Driver Focus. Through clever use of technology, ingenie is making an important contribution to improving the safety of young drivers, which makes them the ideal partner to help us develop this event moving forward.”

Chris McKee, CEO of ingenie, said: “We have committed to being a long-term partner of the Young Driver Focus because it has a huge role to play in getting under 25s the help they need to carry on the good work of our ADIs and stay safe on the road.”

Young Driver Focus 2016 will launched on Monday 21 September via an announcement on this newsfeed, at which point delegates will be able to register to attend.
