Liverpool City Council’s ‘Our Walk to School’ initiative will run for a second time week commencing Monday 8 July.

The project targets year five pupils from areas of high child casualty routes, aiming to raise their awareness of local road safety hazards and complement engineering works in central/north Liverpool.

Pupils will undertake a five-week awareness course creating a map of their local area on which they identify road safety hazards, carry out speed surveys and work with a local media company to produce a road safety film by interviewing local community members.

The project will finish with a celebration event for pupils, parents and teachers to share experiences and watch the premier screening of their films.
