RoSPA has published a free fact sheet on driver distraction, explaining what distraction is and the different types of distraction and their effects.

The focus on driver distraction has been heightened as a result of the use of mobile phones in vehicles, but RoSPA says that research is revealing the increasing dangers of other forms of driver multi-tasking, and its contribution to road accidents.

The fact sheet also covers accident statistics and offers practical advice about how to reduce the chances of driver distraction causing an accident.
