RoSPA publishes ‘young drivers at work’ research

10.44 | 1 May 2009 |

RoSPA has published a new report which looks at the risks faced and created by young drivers while driving for work.

The report looks specifically at employers’ views on how well the present system of driver training and testing prepares young people for the sort of driving they do for work. It asked whether employers would recognise and make use of a ‘driving for work qualification’, and if so what should be included in a qualification or training programme.

‘Young Drivers at Work’ also investigates what further education or training resources could help employers to ensure the safety of young drivers, and identifies overarching themes from the views of the respondents.
