The ‘Togo and Nogo’ website, developed by Manchester’s road safety team, has been updated with the addition of several new sections.

‘Step Outside with Togo and Nogo’ was launched five years ago as part of Manchester’s pedestrian training scheme. Togo and Nogo are two award-winning characters who help to get the road safety message across to children in a fun and interactive way.

The website, www.togoandnogo.co.uk, can be accessed by teachers, parents, carers and children at school and at home. The play at home section contains road safety games and activity sheets for children, while activity sheets and lesson plans have been updated.

New sections added to the site include:

• Safer Steps, an animated video aimed at under-fives.
• A colourful 16-page storybook and animated video aimed at five to seven year olds.
• And a new interactive game in which children must choose safer crossing places.
