A new hi-vis product that combines the features of two long established products has been launched following discussions at the 2011 National Road Safety Conference.
Red Zulu specialises in supplying high visibility road safety products, merchandise and clothing to the DfT and road safety teams across the UK.
Steve Burge, Red Zulu, said: “We attended the 2011 Road Safety GB conference and exhibition and one of the delegates said it would be great if we could introduce an LED element into the slapwrap.
“That got us thinking and after quite a bit of research and development we are now delighted to be launching the LED Slapwrap.
“Slapwraps have proved effective with a number of road user groups. We think that that with the addition of LED lights we have a product that people will want to wear and will definitely be seen wearing.
“We’re exhibiting again this year and are looking forward to getting feedback from delegates on this exciting new product.”
The LED Slapwrap measures 30 x 3.5cm and has four bright red LEDs which show in either static or flashing modes. It is designed for use by children and adults, both as pedestrians and cyclists.
