Working in association with TRL, Newcastle University is running a series of road safety courses during w/comm 10 March 2014.

The three courses – Road Safety Policy, Collision Prevention & Reduction and Road Safety Audits – will be led by John Barrell of TRL.

The objective of the three courses is to provide participants with a full appreciation of the road safety situation in UK and globally in order to set the context for the application of appropriate casualty prevention and reduction techniques, including data interpretation from accident and record analysis.

The courses are also designed to deliver insights into developments and changes in the application of casualty reduction measures and the road safety audit actions.

The courses are likely to be of interest to a road safety auditor seeking to gain a Certificate of Competence.

The fees are £500 per individual course or £1,350 for all three courses.
