A series of presentations by senior and experienced road safety officers, looking at how they are delivering road safety services in an environment of shrinking resources and finance. The individual presentations will be followed by a Q&A session in which delegates will be invited to put questions to all presenters.


Jeremy Phillips, Road Safety Manager, Devon County Council

This presentation will explain how the Devon road safety team met a requirement to cut budget while maintaining services and minimising front line losses. Examples will include business transfer models, smart commissioning, outsourcing, job enrichment for non- road safety personnel, and contracting out to term consultants and others. More

In 2013 Warwickshire County Council announced that it would be removing virtually all the revenue funding for Road Safety ETP work from May 2016.
