{"id":1222,"date":"2021-09-06T10:19:39","date_gmt":"2021-09-06T10:19:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/roadsafetygb.org.uk\/festival\/?page_id=1222"},"modified":"2021-11-23T15:57:49","modified_gmt":"2021-11-23T15:57:49","slug":"heidi-duffy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/roadsafetygb.org.uk\/festival\/festival-content\/heidi-duffy\/","title":{"rendered":"Heidi Duffy"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"pl-1222\"  class=\"panel-layout\" ><div id=\"pg-1222-0\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-1222-0-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell panel-grid-cell-empty\" ><\/div><div id=\"pgc-1222-0-1\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell panel-grid-cell-mobile-last\" ><div id=\"panel-1222-0-1-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"0\" ><div class=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"><h3 class=\"widget-title\">Encouraging drivers and riders to \u2018Know the Dangers\u2019 faced by motorcyclists<\/h3>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<p>In March 2021, the Shiny Side Up Partnership (SSUP) launched a new social media campaign to encourage both drivers and riders to \u2018Know the Dangers\u2019 faced by motorcyclists when using the roads.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/shinysideup.co.uk\/know-the-dangers\/\">The 3D Know the Dangers campaign<\/a>\u00a0comprises seven short films \u2013 and one longer film \u2013 which highlight the most common causes of collisions involving motorcyclists, including overtaking and filtering.<\/p>\n<p>These films were shared - one a week - on the SSUP social media platforms, supported by paid advertising on Facebook. During this eight week run, the films received nearly 300,000 views.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the success of the campaign, it was re-launched during the summer months - a time when more riders are typically on the road.<\/p>\n<p>The re-run saw the total number of views reach nearly 700,000.<\/p>\n<p>Versions of the films without the safety messages were also produced for educational and training purposes \u2013 along with a series of infographics.
