Findings from a pedestrian training scheme evaluation<\/h3>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<p>In this presentation, Becky will outline the methodology and findings of a RoSPA commissioned evaluation of pedestrian training provision in England. Using a mixed quantitative and qualitative methods approach, the aim of the evaluation was to explore what types of pedestrian training are most effective in increasing road safety knowledge of children aged 7-9 years.<\/p>\n<p>She will also outline the next steps of the project, including the development of a best practice pedestrian training package for 7-9 year olds.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 class=\"widget-title\">Becky Needham, Road Safety Officer, England, The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)<\/h3>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1545\" src=\"https:\/\/roadsafetygb.org.uk\/festival\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Becky-Needham.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"375\" height=\"307\" srcset=\"https:\/\/roadsafetygb.org.uk\/festival\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Becky-Needham.jpg 512w, https:\/\/roadsafetygb.org.uk\/festival\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Becky-Needham-300x246.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 375px) 100vw, 375px\" \/>Becky graduated with a BA (Hons) in Sociology from the University of Birmingham in 2016 and has been working in the road safety department at RoSPA for the past five years.<\/p>\n<p>Her principal role is to develop, project manage and deliver RoSPA\u2019s grant funded projects for England, many of which focus on vulnerable road users.
