The whole family are keen cyclists and ride regularly together.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<div>\n<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-456\" src=\"https:\/\/roadsafetygb.org.uk\/festival\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Sonya-Hurt-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>Sonya Hurt<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Road Safety and Partnership Manager, Derbyshire County Council<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sonya Hurt is road safety and partnership manager for Derbyshire County Council. She is also past chair of Road Safety GB (2016-18) and is currently Road Safety GB\u2019s specialist advisor with regard to cyclists\u2019 safety.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to taking up her current post in Derbyshire, she was team manager for road safety at Via East Midlands, a joint venture between Nottinghamshire CC and Cornwall CC formed to deliver a sustainable highways service for Nottinghamshire.<\/p>\n<p>Sonya\u2019s career with Nottinghamshire County Council spanned more than 25 years, during which time she specialised in the fields of road safety, safety engineering, traffic management and highway design.<\/p>\n<p>In an ever-changing local government environment Sonya\u2019s work ethos is to continue to maintain a professional, forward thinking and innovative approach to delivering road safety solutions.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-455\" src=\"https:\/\/roadsafetygb.org.uk\/festival\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Duncan-Dollimore-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>Duncan Dollimore<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Head of Campaigns, Cycling UK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Duncan Dollimore is head of campaigns at Cycling UK, which promotes all forms of cycling so that people all of ages can cycle safely, easily and enjoyably.<\/p>\n<p>Duncan leads Cycling UK\u2019s road safety campaigning, a key aspect of which is educational awareness campaigning to promote behaviour change.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Involving, not telling' is the ethos for much of this campaigning, to communicate both the danger and solution visually using both simple and modern tools and technology.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pgc-449-0-2\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell panel-grid-cell-empty\" ><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Emily Cherry Executive Director, The Bikability Trust Emily Cherry has over 20 year\u2019s experience working in children\u2019s charities and has spent the last two years running a consultancy taking on challenging projects to build efficiency, change and increase effectiveness.
