Clearview Traffic Group and Bellstan picked up the ‘Road Marking Project of the Year’ award at the 2011 Highways Magazine Excellence Awards ceremony.
The award was for achieving significant road safety improvements by installing Astucia Solar Powered F Series road studs and Visibead Wet Night white lining on the A4128 in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
The same project also featured in The Road Safety Foundation’s ‘Simple Measures Saves Lives’ EuroRap 2011 report, which highlighted this stretch of the A4128 as the year’s most improved road.
During two survey periods – from 2004-06 and 2007-09 – the number of fatal and serious collisions dropped by 89%, from 19 to two.
