Big incentive to book early for 2012 conference

The delegate registration process for the 2012 Road Safety GB Conference and Exhibition is now open, and once again there is a heavily subsidised rate for members who are in a position to book early.

The event, which has been re-branded ‘The National Road Safety Conference’, is being hosted by Road Safety GB London Region. It will be held at the Britannia International Hotel, Canary Wharf 14-15 November 2012.

The full residential delegate rate for Road Safety GB members and attendees from charities and not-for-profit organisations has been set at £295 plus VAT, which includes all conference sessions, overnight accommodation, the conference dinner and all other refreshments across the two-day event.

However, 50 places have been set aside for Road Safety GB members at the heavily subsidised rate of just £175 plus VAT. These places will be allocated on a strictly first come, first served basis.

Christine Fitzgerald, spokesperson for the Road Safety GB London conference committee, said: “We’ve opened the delegate booking process as early as possible to enable people to pay for their conference place from 2011/12 budgets should they wish to do so.

“We understand that for some it may prove difficult to obtain authorisation to attend without themes and an agenda in place, but we can assure people that the conference will take a similar format to previous years. We will be covering a wide range of road safety themes and topics, rather than focusing on one or a small number of issues.

“When the themes are published, hopefully in late January/early February, people who have booked early will have the opportunity to cancel without penalty should they wish to do so.”
