The Birmingham-based charity DriveSafe has introduced a driver safety course for employees, designed to “combine the practicalities of road safety skills and driver awareness with personal safety in everyday life”.
The road safety charity says it intends to help company drivers “improve their motoring skills and reduce their costs” through the new DriveSafe and StaySafe Courtesy on the Road programme.
Fay Goodman, DriveSafe founder, said: “The new DriveSafe and StaySafe course will help drivers to safeguard themselves and others, reduce their fuel and maintenance costs, and lead to lower repair bills and insurance premiums, as well as add to their company’s CSR credentials.”
Fay Goodman was highly commended for corporate social responsibility at the IoD West Midlands Director of the Year Awards on 14 May. As well as fronting DriveSafe, Fay Goodman is managing director of film and music production company, and a composer and performer, martial arts teacher and author.
The IoD awards’ judges were impressed with the way Ms Goodman has used her business and communication skills to improve awareness of road safety and personal safety issues.
