Following a two-year re-development programme, the Children’s Traffic Club for 3 to 4 year olds has been re-launched in digital format.

The Club, developed by dbda and now in its 20th year, has been through a process of research, re-branding and content redevelopment into a new digital format.

The Children’s Traffic Club programme is designed to make learning how to keep safe on the roads fun and interactive. Parents can pay a subscription to join their child to the Club and then receive a series of three DVD membership packs through the post (one every four months).

The DVDs include new character based interactive stories, games, sing alongs, fun sheets, parents guides, activity books and stickers. In total there is 48 weeks of membership material for parents to work through with their child.

The Club is available for families UK-wide, but is funded directly by some Government bodies and local authorities including Transport for London (TfL), Welsh Assembly and North Yorkshire County Council. In these areas membership to the Club is already paid for, so parents and children can sign up for free.

Bharti Bhikha, dbda’s managing director, said: “We are very excited about the launch of the new digital Club. This multimedia resource will dramatically enhance and engage children’s learning of road safety messages, using new technologies for this age group.

“The new format will also extend opportunities internationally with the increasing demand for cutting edge educational resources.”

A new CTC website will be launched during the summer but in the meantime for a preview visit: www.trafficclub.co.uk/taster.
