dbda has been re-awarded the road safety services support contract for the Go Safe Glasgow Road Safety Partnership (GoSGRSP) for 2011/2012.

GoSGRSP, winners of the prestigious Scottish Transport Award for road safety in 2010, intend to deliver major road safety publicity campaigns during 2011/2012, in conjunction with dbda. The campaigns will be based on robust road casualty and hospital based data and will employ the breadth of expertise provided by the partners to address the safety of all Glasgow road users.

Bill Smith, dbda’s business development director, said: “We are delighted to be able to continue our longstanding relationship with Glasgow City Council and the other members of the partnership. It is testimony to the strength and quality of the Go Safe Partnership’s work that casualties in Glasgow, and in turn across the West of Scotland, are now at an all-time low.”

George Cairns, Glasgow’s road safety development officer and lead officer of GoSGRSP, said: “We know how much Glasgow can contribute to achieving the ambitious targets that have been set out in Scotland’s Road Safety Framework. The established partnership we have with dbda can assist us greatly in delivering a positive outcome in terms of casualty reduction across the city.”
