Delegate registration for the 2018 National Road Safety Conference has opened, with a special early bird rate available for Road Safety GB and Academy members.
First staged in 2009, the annual event has become the centrepiece of the Road Safety GB calendar – with recent editions attracting more than 300 delegates.
To mark the conference’s 10th anniversary, the two-day event is heading back to The Grand in Brighton where it was previously held in 2014.
The 2018 National Conference (27-28 Nov) is being hosted and organised by Road Safety GB South East Region and sponsored by Jenoptik – with other sponsors to be announced in due course.
Standing centre stage on Brighton’s famous seafront, The Grand is an iconic Victorian property steeped in British history. The hotel is just a 10-minute walk from Brighton rail station – with services running into London Victoria (55 minutes) and Gatwick Airport (30 minutes).
The early bird rate for Road Safety GB and Academy members is £275 plus VAT. The fee includes all conference sessions, lunch and other refreshments on both days, overnight accommodation and the conference dinner. The fee for other attendees is £445 plus VAT.
With 95% of delegates rating the 2017 conference content as ‘good or excellent’ – and 97% giving the same rating to the overall event – the early bird places are expected to sell out very quickly.
The 2018 conference agenda is currently under development and organisers hope to be in a position to publish a draft agenda by the end of March or early in April.
As in previous years, an exhibition will run alongside the conference. The exhibition will be limited to around 20 stands with places allocated on a strictly ‘first come, first served’ basis – for the past six years it has been fully subscribed.
