Mayo County Council’s road safety officer is reminding people that the biggest danger at Halloween is not from ghosts and goblins – but the risk of collisions involving pedestrians and vehicles.
Noel Gibbons, Mayo’s RSO, said: "The excitement of trick-or-treating can make everyone less cautious. To help keep children safe parents should remind their kids about the rules of the road and ensure they will be seen by drivers this Halloween."
