The DVSA has published ‘the learner driver pack’, a series of three books designed to help learners pass their theory and practical tests.

Produced by TSO (The Stationery Office), the ‘Guide to Learning to Drive’ and the ‘Guide to Driving – the essential skills’ are both included in the pack, alongside the newly-updated ‘Theory Test for Car Drivers’.

The theory test book, which is also available as a single entity, has been updated in line with changes to the car theory test revision bank, in a bid to make the questions and explanations easier to understand.

The theory test questions have also been fully reviewed and all questions now have just one correct option out of four and are phrased as a complete sentence, reflecting the real test. The practice case studies have also been revised and brought up to date.

Full of ‘must-have advice’ for all learner drivers, the DVSA offers a series key reasons to buy the learner driver pack, including:

  • Bite-size information – written in an easy-to-remember way which links theory to practical driving experience.
  • Practice questions – includes hundreds of official DVSA theory test revision questions for all 14 topics.
  • Learn your way – photos, diagrams and links to more information and videos online, plus a ‘test yourself’ section.
  • Extra help – explanations and references for every answer along with expert advice on what to expect on the day.
