Good Egg Safety becomes CIC

Good Egg Safety, which has been promoting best practice on a range of family road safety initiatives for more than 16 years, has relaunched as a community interest company (CIC) – and unveiled a special offer for local authorities to mark the occasion.

A CIC is a form of limited company which commits assets and profits to benefit the community.

Good Egg Safety says the move will make its resources – including in-car safety information for parents of young children and information for new drivers – available to an even wider audience in the most cost effective way possible.

The new CIC will also be running free child seat checks in local authority areas that are struggling financially.

Jan James, CEO, said: “We wanted to evolve the Good Egg brand into a vehicle that will benefit the greatest section of our communities. We are passionate about reducing road casualties and keen to work with key partners who share that passion.”

Earlier this year Good Egg road safety publications were made available as digital ‘flip books’ in a move to increase the number of families and road users that can be reached.

Jan James added: “The new digital products are the result of years of research, successful delivery and thorough evaluation. Our publications, websites and social media are evidence-based, relevant and engaging.

“To celebrate the launch of the new CIC, these award-winning resources are being offered to local authorities at a special introductory price of just £995 per guide, instead of £1,800 until the 16 December 2016.

“This secures a full year’s licensed access to any of the Good Egg Safety Guides on the new digital platform.”
