Cheshire West and Chester Council launched ‘The Children’s Traffic Club’ for the borough’s preschool children during UN Global Road Safety Week (6-12 May).
The Club, now in its 20th year, is described as “the most researched, monitored and evaluated road safety educational material in the UK”. It has recently been through a two-year research process, complete re-brand and an entire content redevelopment into a new digital format to “take learning road safety using multi-media to a new level”.
Councillor Lynn Riley, executive member for community and environment, said: “Making sure that our children have the right understanding about how to be safe on our roads is at the heart of this programme and the Club concentrates on giving parents and carers the capability to do this at home.
