Brake to host ‘Fit to Drive’ conference

12.00 | 28 June 2013 |

Brake has unveiled plans for its ‘Fit to Drive’ conference (17 September) which will bring together academics and practitioners specialising in driver impairment.

Driving while impaired – which includes fatigue, poor eyesight, or being under the influence of alcohol or drugs – could easily be eliminated by changing driver attitudes and behaviour, according to Brake.

The conference, which will be staged in Manchester on 17 September, is aimed at safety professionals working in the fields of driver impairment education and enforcement, and fleet managers with responsibility for driver risk management.

Presentations will cover the latest research about the dangers of impaired driving and interventions in communities and the workplace, including campaigning and education programmes.

The early bird price for bookings made before 5 July is £71 + VAT.
