The 2015 edition of Young Driver’s Guide will be published in mid-March and there is a discounted rate for road safety teams who place an order before the end of this month.
The Young Driver’s Guide (YDG), which is sold in WH Smith for £4.99, provides more than 132 pages of important information and advice for new drivers.
First published in 2013, the YDG provides a complete guide to getting a provisional licence, choosing an instructor and preparing for and taking the theory and practical driving tests.
It also provides information on how to buy a used (or new) car, how car insurance works and how to get the best deal; advice on running a car, including essential maintenance, and the key road dangers and how to deal with them.
James Evans from FirstCar, which publishes the YDG, said: “Road safety teams use the YDG in a variety of ways to enhance their young driver education programmes.
“For all orders taken before the magazine goes to print, we can bespoke the front covers with authority logos and add local inserts.
“We’re now taking early bookings at the discounted rate of 90p per copy for orders placed before the end of February. In March, the price will revert back to £1 per copy.”
