A new theory test app claims to be the first to utilise a social and gaming element to allow users to test their knowledge by going head-to-head with other learner drivers.
The free iOS and Android app, based on official DVSA driving theory test revision questions, has been developed by miDrive*. Learners can either take part in a turn-by-turn “sudden death” game with fellow aspiring drivers, or brush up on theory test posers in solo mode.
Scott Taylor, CEO of miDrive says: “The average driving theory test pass rate in Great Britain is 51.6% so it’s clear that revision is needed.
“miDrive has ‘gamified’ the theory test learning experience. Sparring with fellow learner drivers not only sharpens users’ competitive edge but encourages collective learning.
“This will speed up the learning process and get learner drivers on the road quicker and up to scratch with the Highway Code.”
Launched in 2013, miDrive has apps for Android and iOS to help learner drivers to find qualified driving instructors and “pass their driving tests more quickly”.
