The deadline for road safety teams to claim their free allocation of the new Good Egg Guide for New Drivers, and to order a further quantity at the introductory price, has been extended until 11 January.
The Good Egg Guide for New Drivers is aimed at 17-25 year olds and gives safety advice and tips on passing the test, purchasing a car, insurance and how to avoid losing your licence.
The guide is endorsed by Road Safety GB and has been developed with input from researchers, psychologists, road safety professionals and law enforcement practitioners.
The Good Egg team is making 100 copies of the Guide available free of charge to every road safety team – to claim your free copies visit: www.gettingitandkeepingit.com/guides. The special introductory price for further copies ordered by 11 January is 75p, but after that date the price will be £1.50 per copy.
Road safety teams who order 500 copies or more can also have their new driver assessment programmes listed for free on ‘www.gettingitandkeepingit.com’.
Jan Deans, CEO of Good Egg Safety, said: “The initial response to our new drivers’ guide has been phenomenal. Reducing casualty rates for young drivers is a top road safety priority for our valued partners and it’s really heartening to see so many local authorities snapping up their free copies.
“Good Egg Safety is on a mission to make the roads safer for all vulnerable road users and we look forward to working closely with our partners to do just that.”
