‘Own Goal’ campaign ready for big kick off

14.51 | 2 June 2010 |

35 road safety teams will participate in a campaign to help football fans avoid a World Cup drink drive conviction – and there is still time for others to join in.

The ‘Own Goal’ campaign includes a website giving guidance about how long it can take for alcohol to pass through the body. Other campaign resources include posters, leaflets and beer mats – and artwork can be supplied for a variety of other media.

Sally Bartrum, campaign manager, says: “We have a small quantity of posters and leaflets in stock and available for immediate dispatch – so there is just time for RSOs to order resources for the start of the tournament."

Prices to participate start from £250 plus VAT.
