Professional drivers breath tested at national event

Bus and coach drivers volunteered to take breath tests before carrying out test drives at the recent Coach and Bus Live 2011 show – and none failed the test.

The tests were carried out by TTC Automotive as part of a campaign to warn professional drivers about the dangers of drink driving.

The event gave the professionals the chance to push their driving skills to the limit. A specially designed course, which had distractions along the way, tested their perception and road skills.

Evita Hussey, TTC Automotive, said: “Bus and coach drivers welcomed the breath tests. They were very co-operative and extremely interested in hearing information about the morning after and how long alcohol stays in the system. And no-one failed!”
