Almost 240 people have registered to attend the National Road Safety Conference 2012 which is being held in London this week (14-15 November).
For the past two years, around 220 people have attended the event when it was hosted in Chester and Warwickshire. The 2012 conference is being hosted by Road Safety GB London Region at the Britannia International Hotel, Canary Wharf, 14-15 November. The event is co-sponsored by Colas, RedSpeed International, Alcolock UK and AA DriveTech.
With an overall theme of ‘The next five years: challenges and solutions’, the conference will look to provide practical support to help road safety professionals deliver effective education, training and publicity initiatives against a backdrop of austerity measures and an economy still recovering from deep recession.
The total number of attendees includes paying delegates, speakers and representatives from the 26 companies exhibiting alongside the conference.
While residential places are now sold out, day delegates can still book until this coming Friday 9 November.
Sally Bartrum, who is managing delegate registration process, said: “If anyone is thinking of coming at the last minute, can I ask them to register please by this coming Friday. We have to give final numbers to the venue on this date and will not be able to accept further booking beyond that point.”
The cost of attending the conference starts at £85 for Road Safety GB members, and £145 for non-members. Both prices are for attendance on one of the two days and are exclusive of VAT.
