Registration is now open to all for the 2023 National Road Safety Conference, with a small number of early bird places still available for Road Safety GB members.

The 2023 National Conference is being held at the De Vere Cotswold Water Park Hotel, near Cirencester in Gloucestershire on 15-16 November. It is being hosted by Road Safety GB South West regional group and sponsored once again by Jenoptik and Westcotec.

50 early bird tickets went on sale last week to Road Safety GB and Academy members, and these were snapped up in under 24 hours. A further 25 early bird tickets were then released, with around 10 of these still available.

More than 300 people attended the 2022 conference in Harrogate, the first time it had been held as a live in-person event since 2019. Delegates heralded the conference a great success, with 96% rating the conference content as ‘good or excellent’, and 98% giving the same rating for ‘organisation’.

The early bird rate for Road Safety GB members is £375 plus VAT, which includes all conference sessions, lunch and other refreshments during both days, overnight accommodation and the conference dinner on the evening of Weds 15 Nov.

Once the early bird places have gone, the price for members will increase to £495 plus VAT.

New for 2023, there is an optional networking buffet dinner on the evening prior to the conference (14 November) – an excellent opportunity to mix informally with other delegates.

James Gibson, executive director of Road Safety GB, said: “We were delighted with the positive feedback following the 2022 conference in Harrogate, and are very pleased to see that this has translated into very strong early bookings for the 2023 conference.

“Set among the villages and gently rolling hills of The Cotswolds, and in the heart of the 152 lakes that spread across the unique Cotswolds Water Park, the De Vere Hotel promises to provide a spectacular backdrop for the conference.”

Nick Cowling, chair of the 2023 conference committee, said: “The conference committee has already met and is in the process of developing the themes and topics to be covered at the conference, and we’ve published information about this on the conference website.

“We have already had significant interest from potential speakers and will be issuing a call for papers in the next few days – and hope to be in a position to publish an outline agenda by late March / early April.”

The exhibition which runs alongside the conference is now also open for bookings – click here for prices and the booking form.

For more information about the conference please contact either Nick Rawlings (agenda, exhibition and sponsorship) or Sally Bartrum (delegate bookings). Both are available on 01379 650112.
