Road Safety GB has expanded its campaign to raise awareness of important road safety issues by launching a dedicated road safety Twitter feed.

The feed is an easy way for people across the country to keep up to date with the latest road safety news and other information.

Existing Twitterers can find the account by searching for Road_Safety_GB. Those who are not yet familiar with the platform can visit: www.twitter.com/Road_Safety_GB and follow the onscreen instructions to set up an account.

Twitter is the world’s most popular micro-blogging site and receives more than 1.8m visitors each month in the UK.

James Gibson, press officer for Road Safety GB, said: “People are using many different platforms to receive information and it’s important that Road Safety GB takes full advantage of every opportunity to get our message across.

“We’ve had a great initial response from the Twitter road safety community and are looking forward to developing these relationships as we continue to use the account.”
