A number of free road safety resources have been made available as part of Child Safety Week, which gets underway today (1 June).

Child Safety Week is an annual community education campaign organised by the Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT) to raise awareness of the risks of child accidents and how they can be prevented.

In response to Covid-19, the 2020 week has been adapted to meet the changing needs of families and the frontline staff who support them.

This includes a focus on road safety, with a suite of family-friendly content available to download free of charge.

The resources feature a number of social media posts and graphics, covering issues such as holding a child’s hand near roads, 20mph and cycle safety.

Other resources include activity and fact sheets, illustrations and a pack for parents.

CAPT is a UK charity which works to reduce the number of children and young people killed, disabled or seriously injured in accidents.
