RSOs are being urged too begin planning now for Road Safety Week, which takes place 23-29 November.

Organised by Brake, the road safety charity, Road Safety Week comprises local awareness-raising events and partnership working.

This year’s theme, ‘Not a drop, Not a drag’, stresses the need for drivers to never drink any alcohol or take illegal or impairing drugs before driving.

Mark Oldfield, IRSO’s national public relations officer, said: “Road Safety Week is an ideal opportunity for road safety professionals to raise the profile of the work they do in their area.

“By using the week to promote key messages we can work well together to get media coverage and reduce casualties on our roads.”
