On the back of success with his first road safety song, John Chambers, a songwriter from Blackburn, has released a new song focusing on the importance of wearing a seatbelt.
The new song, ‘Put Your Seatbelt On’, has already attracted attention around the world. Ian Faulks, director of STAYSAFE Committee in Australia, has complimented John on his work, and Janette Fennell, a regular guest on ‘The Oprah Show’, and leading expert in child seatbelt safety, has asked permission to use the song.
John Chambers said: “Many parents and children visit my website for this resource and the feedback I have received already about it has been incredible.
“Parents are reporting that their children now demand to wear their seatbelts after hearing my song, with further reports that other children no longer try to remove their seat belt whilst the car is moving.
“I feel strongly that my resource has massive potential to help reduce child fatalities within our communities. It could be used as part of road safety packs, for police road safety teams to perform in schools, or to be given to children as a ringtone to keep seatbelt safety awareness firmly at the fore front of their minds.”
John’s first song, ‘Just Like Me’, was released as part of a Lancashire Constabulary road safety campaign. It continues to be used by police and communities locally, and, according to John, is also used to educate young children around the world.
