Sandwell’s road safety team is producing a new walk to school resource with an Olympic theme.
The resource comprises a magazine, entitled ‘Go4Gold’, which features sports stars and covers a range of relevant topics. The magazine is accompanied by downloadable lesson plans for teachers.
An evaluation sheet for teachers will also be available which can be returned in order to assess the effectiveness of the magazine and lesson plans.
Authorities who purchase the magazine will be able to put their own details onto the lesson plans and make them available to download for their own schools.
Depending upon demand a second copy may be produced in 2012.
