A song inspired by a tragic road crash is being made available free of charge to road safety professionals.
‘Numbers’ was written by Dr Lisa Dorn, a keynote speaker at the 2009 Road Safety GB national conference, who played it at the start of her presentation.
Lisa explains: “The song came about when chief superintendent Mick Doyle, former head of roads policing for Thames Valley, told me about one of the last jobs he had to do before leaving the force.
“When he arrived at a RTI the car was split in half and all four occupants were dead at the scene. Mick talked about the trauma of having to visit the parents to give them the news.
“I talked to Trevor Grant, a close friend who happens to be a music performance lecturer at Northbrook College in West Sussex and together with staff and students we created Numbers.”

I’m so glad the song has made it this far, it was a pleasure to sing for the track and I hope it has an impact on people, Abi Flynn
