STOP FOR THE LOLLIPOP CAMPAIGN

12.00 | 13 July 2012 |

Throughout Stockton, and across the country, School Crossing Patrollers face the regular problem of vehicles failing to stop for them.  On many occasions drivers will actually drive around them whilst they are still in the road, with the stop sign displayed.

With this in mind, pupils designed posters to spell out the consequences in terms of casualties if anyone failed to stop for a patroller, and also to educate drivers as to the penalties that they could face for failing to stop.

Four winning designs were picked from all the entries received and turned into large designs that have been displayed on the sides of the Council’s refuse wagons.
