'Sorry mate, I didn’t hear you'

Electric motorbikes are a rapidly advancing technology that is becoming more accessible and competitive. Improvements in battery performance are seeing high speed electric motorcycles capable of 60mph and beyond, making them ideal for inter-city commutes on national speed A roads.

In his presentation, Paul will discuss the increasing popularity of electric powered two wheelers, and the road safety implications relating to their use.

PC Paul Ennis, West Midlands Police Road Harm Reduction Team, Central Motorway Police Group

Paul Ennis has been riding bikes for more than 40 years. In his role with West Midlands Police and the Central Motorway Police Group, he is a vehicle examiner and a stolen vehicle examiner. He is also an advanced police rider and special escort group rider ( escorting the great and the good - and the not so good!).

Paul raced Enduro bikes for many years and competed in (and finished) the Weston Beach Race which is held annually on Weston-super-Mare beach in Somerset. He has ridden all over Europe and rides every month of the year, in all weathers -  sometimes with more enthusiasm than on other occasions!
