Darren Rowley has been named BT’s Safe Driver of the Year 2009 – and driven away with a trophy and £5,000.
He was selected for the top prize from nearly 8,000 BT people who entered the competition earlier in the year.
BT’s Safe Driver of the Year competition identifies beacons of excellence among the almost 100,000 BT people that are eligible to drive on company business. It also offers an opportunity to generate awareness of road safety among a wider population and promote and develop skills and knowledge amongst participants.
Andy Cuerden, European managing director at Interactive Driving Systems, said: “We were delighted to support BT’s competition by providing the online platform to engage 8,000 employees to participate and then filter them down to a manageable number for the later rounds.”
